Cream eyeshadows are one of the easiest ways we know to create a pretty, wearable eye look, so when Trinny London - who does natural-looking and prettifying makeup so well - launches new shades in her Eye2Eye cream shadows, we're the first to get excited.

The new collection of shade extensions, called Inner Light, is made up of four shades that are perfect for spring, easy to wear, and even easier to use. A mix of ethereal shimmers and softer neutrals, Joy is a glimmering, ballerina pink; Passion, a rich, plum shimmer; Harmony, a neutral matte camel, and Serenity, a warm, matte, putty-ish pink. We've got Joy earmarked as our ideal everyday shadow already.

If you've never used cream eyeshadow before, know that you're about to discover a very good - and very easy! - thing. Where powder eyeshadows require a decent amount of blending to look fresh and well-done, cream eyeshadows can be (and are best) applied with a finger. The buttery texture means they're easily manipulated and blended: use your ring finger to swipe colour across the lid, and then soften the edges by dabbing with your fingertip. Trinny's formulas are rich and emollient, so there's no chance of them gathering into any fine lines, either.

And like their counterparts, the new shades are also housed in Trinny's signature stacking pots, making them perfect for portability (or just a neater makeup bag, which we could certainly do with).
