Gillian Anderson was glowing at the UK launch of Paramount+ on Monday (20 June). Wearing a maroon and pink striped Jonathan Simkhai dress, the star sported a loose tousled up-do hair style that we can't wait to recreate this summer.
The work of stylist Timothy David, Gillian's blonde hair was loosely pulled back into a soft, teased out bun, lightly twisted and braided for a glamorous grecian effect. The front layers were left out in tousled waves giving almost a bob-like finish and beautifully framing her face.
Speaking at the new platform's showcase, she appeared alongside her co-stars in The First Lady, the iconic Viola Davis and Michelle Pfeiffer. Gillian is playing Eleanor Roosevelt and had quite the transformation seen in trailers and previews of the new show.
Roosevelt is one of three former first ladies Showtime's anthology series will follow, with the show also spotlighting Betty Ford (Michelle Pfeiffer) and Michelle Obama (Viola Davis).
Paramount+ arrived in the UK on 22 June and subscriptions cost £6.99 with the first week free. SIGN UP
Her fellow actors both wore their hair down, Viola with a slight side part in her gorgeous kinks and coils, and Michelle with a simple wave to her long blonde hair.
The three paired-back hair styles softened their glam looks, perfect for a June event.
Viola chose a chic white pant suit, and Michelle a simple black dress, while Gillian opted for a more colourful look. Her cut-away 'sergercore' dress - a style where seams and detailing usually hidden inside becomes part of the garments aesthetic and is worn on the outside - was summer black tie perfection.
10/10 all round. We can't wait to see the show with all three of these fabulous ladies! And we don't have to as it's now streaming on Paramount+.
