Ruth Langsford has been sharing her semi-permanent eyebrow tattoo process with fans, documenting each stage of her 'Powder Brows' treatment and the healing and we can't wait to see the finished result.
Posting videos to Instagram Ruth told followers; "So I finally bit the bullet! I’ve been thinking of having my eyebrows tattooed for a while and yesterday I did it! If you’ve been thinking about it too we put together this little video so you can see the process….it really didn’t hurt…just a bit scratchy…honestly!"
In the video we see aesthetician Naomi mapping out Ruth's new brows and talking through the process with her, explaining the difference from popular microblading, Naomi said; "Because you've got hairs and you've got quite nice shape. All I'm going to do is powder underneath your hairs with a tattoo gun."
In the clip we see the process along with Naomi's after care guidance and assurance that the immediate colour is 40% darker than the finished brows will be.
Explaining; "The true colour will be in four weeks and it's going to be for at least 40% lighter. And then at that point you come back, we analyse whether we like the colour, whether we like the tone, then we can take it darker. If you like the colour, we'll just go over same colour."
Six days later Ruth was back to update on the healing process; "They’ve done everything Naomi @thelittleparlour said they would…I’ve followed her maintenance plan religiously and they’re healing perfectly. Now I have just have to be patient and wait for the true colour to come through…I’m not good at being patient!" - Don't worry Ruth, neither are we.
Describing the healing process the presenter said; "So we are now six days in, first couple of days a bit red, not too sore and then they start to flake and you have to put coconut oil or grapeseed oil on them to keep them moisturised, and then the flake starts to come off. And at first they look paler than they did but Naomi assures me, me give it a few more days and that real colour comes through."
They look great already!
It's so fascinating to watch and we can't wait to see the finished result.
