It's been just over a week since Sheinelle Jones returned to the Today show—and she's speaking out about all the support she's received along the way.

In May 2025, it was revealed that Sheinell's husband, Uche Ojeh, had passed away. The host officially returned to Studio 1A on September 5, and opened up about her grieving journey over the last four months.

After what was an eventful week back at work, Sheinelle shared a vulnerable Instagram video on September 12, where she thanked fans for being there for her during this incredibly difficult time in her life.

"Hi, everybody," she began the four-minute clip. "This week was a lot for me. It was a lot. So, now here we are, Friday, and I have the bandwidth to sit and just say thank you. Really, thank you. I don't always read comments ... but this time I did, because I felt like if you take the time to talk to me, I'm gonna hear what you have to say. And I am so thankful for so many of you who have shared your ups and your downs with me, in the wake of me sharing my journey."

"I will tell you, this week has been so overwhelmingly kind in the best of ways," she added. "Anything I gave in that interview, in the last days, you guys have just given it back to me. If I picture a cup, it's overflowing more than I could have ever imagined. It's just what keeps me going."

She also noted how much she loved being back on the Today show, and how it holds more significance than ever.

"I just want you to know that it's been a week, and I love doing the show," she concluded. "I'm relieved that I love doing it. It makes me happy. I love being with my friends. I love the guests that come on. I just love it so much! It's kind of like my happy place, more than I realized."
