Versa 4

Who it's good for: Our experts in the Good Housekeeping Institute chose the Fitbit Versa 4 as the best overall fitness tracker for women.

What it does: This model excels with workout tracking, monitoring heart rate, and even gives you a nightly sleep score. It is also water-resistant so you don't need to take if off while showering, and it's enabled to work with voice assistants like Siri or Alexa for hands-free controls.

Our testers say: Our testers noted that it's easy to use, making it a great option for those who want as many stats as possible, but don't want to spend hours learning how to use it.

    Fitbit Charge 6 — $110 (31% off)

Who it's good for: "I’d choose the Charge 6 if you’re looking for an affordable, minimalist Fitbit," says Lipski.

What it does: "It offers more than 40 exercise modes (whereas the Versa 4 only offers 20) as well as heart rate tracking." She notes that it doesn't have some of the smartwatch features of other models, as it doesn't support Bluetooth calls or built-in Alexa. But the battery life is unbeatable, thanks to the smaller screen.

Our experts say: "You get at least an extra day (up to 7 days) of claimed battery life with the Charge 6. It’s small but mighty and a great choice for workout enthusiasts who don’t mind having a smaller display," Lipski says.

      Fitbit Inspire 3 — $75 (25% off)

Who it's good for: This Fitbit is designed for people who really just need the basics of fitness tracking, like steps, miles logged and calories burned. The Inspire 3 is the lowest price Fitbit, and during this sale it's only $75 (which is very close to the best deal we've seen this year).

Our testers say: Our testers reported that the Inspire 3 was so lightweight during testing that they almost forgot that they were wearing it during workouts. And if you hate the sweaty feel of wearing a watch while working out, you can even get a clip for under $10 that will allow you to attach it to your clothes or sports bra.

        Fitbit Sense 2 — $200 (20% off)

Why I love it: I recently spent a month testing my Fitbit Sense 2 against my Apple Watch, and was honestly impressed by the accuracy of the Fitbit during my walking and hiking.

What it does: I really appreciate the 6-day battery life — a huge improvement over my Apple Watch, which barely makes it through one day. I also like that it tracks my stress levels, skin temperature, sleep, and heart rate and automatically starts tracking my workouts without me having to remember to turn on the correct mode.

How to choose the best Fitbit for you

Test engineers and product analysts at the Good Housekeeping Institute considered price, battery life, GPS, water resistance, comfort and fit, design and app features when ranking the best fitness trackers. All Fitbits were easy to set up and work with a companion app on your smartphone. They also have excellent battery life — all featured here last at least 6 days (some are more).

The Versa 4 and Sense 2 are larger "watch" styles, while the Inspire 2 and Charge 6 are more lightweight and streamlined, with the traditional Fitbit look. The watch styles have premium features like voice assistant, Bluetooth calling and a larger display that make them more expensive, but add value if it's something you can't live without.
