As an avid runner who also tests and reviews workout gear for a living, I have to admit that I was a little bummed out by Amazon’s activewear deals during this year's Prime Day sale. If your summer workout wardrobe desperately needs a refresh, your chance to save isn't over: Lululemon casually dropped its own huge summer sale, and so many of our favorites are included.
Lululemon makes some of the best leggings the Good Housekeeping Institute Textiles Lab has tested — and I'm constantly scrolling the site for overstock deals. If you're reading this, you probably know that the brand famously does not do sales (aside from Black Friday and New Year), so this is a rare chance to avoid paying full price.
The Summer Scores sale technically runs through July 21, but you'll want to shop before then; several of my favorite colors and styles already sold out over the weekend. Right now, some of my top summery picks include chic Align bike shorts and the viral Everywhere Belt Bag, starting at just $29.
Our favorite Lululemon Summer Scores picks:
Whether you love yoga flows, Pilates classes, going for a jog or hitting the tennis courts, there are so many on-sale styles to choose from. At the top of my list right now is stylish and sweat-wicking workout tops, like this fitted V-neck tank in the best-selling Align fabric or this boxy split-back option for plenty of airflow. I also found discounts on the Hotty Hot shorts for running and these mesh-paneled Wunder Train leggings (a.k.a. our Lab's best Lululemon leggings for training).
Is Lululemon worth it?
Our pros at the GH Institute Textiles Lab regularly test leggings from various brands, and overall, they agree that Lululemon pieces are worth investing in. "We found that Lululemon leggings (like the popular Align leggings) stand up to repeated washes with minimal shrinkage and testers love the flattering fit and high waistband," says Emma Seymour, associate director at the Textiles Lab. Luckily, Align leggings are included in this sale.
