Apple TV+ might not be on the top of your list of streaming platforms — largely due to the fact that it doesn't have the same massive library as, say, Netflix or Hulu. So it's understandable that the $9.99 it costs per month might feel too steep.

But I will say, Apple's original content (Severance, Ted Lasso and Shrinking) is pretty unmatched, and it helps that Apple TV+ doesn't have ads for uninterrupted viewing and lets you stream from multiple devices. Luckily, I have good news for anyone who has:

  1. been using a friend or family member's account and has recently been called out for it.
  2. been wanting to try the streamer, but isn't ready to commit to the price.

Apple TV+ Is 70% Off Right Now

Apple TV+ has a deal going right now where you can get three months for just $2.99/month. That's 70% off, and I've only ever seen this deal during Black Friday and Cyber Monday (seriously, we track deals all the time, and Apple is notorious for rarely, if ever, having one).

This $2.99/month deal includes access to exclusive Apple TV+ shows, with new releases every week and no ads.

How to take advantage of the deal

  • Okay, so new and returning customers are eligible. Apple didn't list the parameters around returning customers, but some people on Reddit are saying as long as you haven't created an account within the last month, you're good. But you can check your eligibility over on Apple's website.
  • You have to sign up directly through Apple TV+ versus a third party, like a wireless provider.
  • You have to sign up before April 24, so you only have a few days left!

    And that's pretty much it.

You'll want to keep in mind that after the three-month trial, you will get charged $9.99/month, so if you need to, you can cancel. (You can easily do so in "Settings" on your Apple TV device, iPhone, Mac or logging onto tv.apple.com on your web browser). Although, Severance just got renewed for season 3, so you might want to keep it.
