Nothing embodies this more than the Harry Potter-themed LEGO sets. There are so many rooms of the Hogwarts castle to build and connect, and so many neighborhoods and scenes that really make the Wizarding World a tangible thing.

Costco is making it even easier to collect Harry Potter LEGO, thanks to its new bundle that doubles up the Diagon Alley Wizarding Shops set with the Hogwarts Castle: Charms Class. The bundle can be had for $199.99, which is the price of the Diagon Alley Wizarding Shops set alone on LEGO.com. In effect, it's like getting the Charms Class ($20 on LEGO.com) set for free.

The Diagon Alley Wizarding Shops set is truly a big, hero item. It clocks in at 2,750 pieces, which can be displayed in different ways. It could be set up like a play set, with two sides of the street facing each other. Or it could be one massive decoration on a shelf, with both sides of the street open into a V-shape so passers by can better see all the buildings. If those don't appeal, it could be broken down it into "modular" displays of a couple buildings each that can be broken up and put in different areas.

All of the buildings are two-sided, so you can see the storefronts on one side, and check out the inner workings on the other. Famous Potter locations that are re-created in the set include Weasleys' Wizard Wheezes, Florean Fortescue’s Ice Cream Parlor, Ollivanders, Mr. Mulpepper’s Apothecary, the Eeylops Owl Emporium, Gringotts Wizarding Bank, the Leaky Cauldron and The Daily Prophet HQ.

The set also comes with a buildable Knight Bus, and has a dozen teeny "microfigures" — which are smaller than minifigures — including Harry Potter, Ron Weasley, Hermione Granger, Draco Malfoy, Mr. Borgin and a bunch of Weasleys, including Fred, George and Ginny Weasley. With such tiny details and so many little pieces, it's no wonder the age recommendation for this set is 18+.

For the younger fans, the Charms Class set is a much easier project to tackle. It's only a little more than 200 pieces, including minifigures of Ron Weasley, Hermione Granger and Professor Flitwick. The classroom opens up so fans can re-create the famous "Wingardium Leviosa" scene (and there are even clear LEGO rods to make the feathers look like they're floating in mid-air). LEGO says this one can be tackled by fans ages 8 and up.

I think bundling these two sets offers a lot of balance. There's an indoor scene and an outdoor scene. There's something for the adults and something for the younger ones. Costco shoppers can either see it as getting a big set with a bonus smaller one, or they can be shopping for two different gift recipients in one go. There's only one catch: You have to be a Costco member to access the deal.
