Listen up, Swifties! While the July 7 release of Speak Now (Taylor's Version) is right around the corner, you can preorder the album on vinyl, CD and cassette at Walmart starting now. And hurry, because if past album drops from Taylor Swift have taught us anything, these collectible items are guaranteed to sell out fast.
The album, which was first released in 2010, includes fan favorites like "Dear John, "Back to December," "Long Live," "Enchanted," "Last Kiss" and "Better Than Revenge." Swift shared on Twitter that "the songs that came from this time in my life were marked by their brutal honesty, unfiltered diaristic confessions and wild wistfulness. I love this album because it tells a tale of growing up, flailing, flying and crashing ... and living to speak about it."
In addition to the sixteen original tracks, Speak Now (Taylor's Version) contains six previously unreleased songs from the vault, featuring artists like Fall Out Boy and Paramore's Hayley Williams. "Since Speak Now was all about my songwriting, I decided to go to the artists who I feel influenced me most powerfully as a lyricist at that time," Swift shared.
The Speak Now (Taylor's Version) vinyl comes with three violet-marbled vinyl discs housed inside album sleeves imprinted with lyrics and never-before-seen photos. Its collectible album jacket debuts cover art inspired by the original album cover and a full-size gatefold photograph inside. Equally collectible are the double CD and the double cassette tape, which feature the same 22 songs (including the six previously unreleased tracks) and cover art.
With more than 1.2 million copies sold in the first week, the first Speak Now release still holds the record for the fastest-selling album in the U.S. by a female country artist. So whether you're expanding your personal music collection or purchasing a gift for a Taylor Swift fan, it's essential to secure your preorder now before it sells out.
