Retail giant Bed Bath & Beyond has filed for bankruptcy, initiating a flurry of actions that include closing stores and selling off merchandise. While the brand, a known go-to for wedding registries, college dorm shopping, stocking up on household essentials and practical gifts, will not immediately shudder all of its locations, it is making major changes concerning its return and exchange policies, as well as whether or not it will honor coupons (expired or not) before it closes for good.
All of the information below also applies to the company's Buy Buy Baby stores.
When will Bed Bath & Beyond Coupons expire?
Bed Bath & Beyond announced that Wednesday, April 26 was the final day that any of its locations honored the unmistakable blue coupons. But don’t worry, the company also kicked off its Store Closing Sales on Wednesday so you can still expect steep discounts on most items even without a coupon.
But if you’re hoping to rake in more savings, Big Lots locations are set to honor the now expired Bed Bath & Beyond coupons through May 7, 2023. Customers can expect to save up to 20% off of purchases of $50 or more.
The Container Store has also announced it will honor coupons by offering a 20% off discount for a single purchase if customers bring in a Bed Bath & Beyond coupon.
Kirkland’s Home will also honor 20% off on single item coupons across all 430+ locations through May 31.
All coupons must be redeemed in store.
When will Bed Bath & Beyond gift cards expire?
The company will be honoring Existing Welcome Rewards My Funds, gift cards, store credits and merchandise credits through Monday, May 8, 2023. “Providing our loyal customers and all stakeholders with up-to-date information on customer programs remains a priority,” a representative for Bed Bath & Beyond said in an email to Good Housekeeping. “We will continue to update our Customer FAQs throughout the process and as information becomes available.”
What about returns?
Any item purchased before April 26 can still be returned to the Bed Bath & Beyond stores near you until May 24 for a refund or exchange. Anything purchased on April 26 or after will be final sale.
