Now that Black Friday weekend is officially here, we're happy to report that many of the luggage deals we've been following have gotten even better. Some of the Good Housekeeping Institute's top-tested luggage brands (including Away, Samsonite, Monos and Calpak) are hosting sales with savings of up to 60% on functional, stylish and maneuverable suitcases.
Whether you've decided it's time to retire your current suitcase after Thanksgiving travel or are looking to save big on luggage ahead of a big trip you've been planning, now is an excellent time to score steeply-discounted editor-vetted picks. For example, I've tested Calpak's Ambeur suitcase, our most stylish checked luggage pick, and I get compliments every time I carry it. In a word, yes. "We often see substantial markdowns on luggage during Black Friday sales," says Lexie Sachs, Executive Director at the Good Housekeeping Institute. "Even if you don’t plan to use the luggage immediately, it’s a good time to invest for travel within the next year to avoid paying full price when you need it."
