Guess what, Whoopi Goldberg fans? Our favorite TV host will make her way to Los Angeles for one of Hollywood's biggest nights!

The View star is famous for being one of only a handful of celebrities to have won an Emmy, a Grammy, an Oscar and a Tony award (a.k.a. an EGOT winner). Well, Whoopi is now bringing some of her acting expertise in an entirely new way, as she is slated to be one of the presenters at the upcoming 2025 Academy Awards on March 2, 2025. What's more, this will be the first time the TV personality will take the Oscars stage in 10 years — coincidentally during the same ceremony where her Ghost co-star Demi Moore is up for the Best Actress award for her performance in The Substance.

Shortly after the news broke on February 11, The View went on Instagram to celebrate the occasion as well. "We'll be watching, @WhoopiGoldberg! ✨," read the caption.

Given how this is a surprise career move for Whoopi, fans were ecstatic to learn she'd be participating in such a star-studded ceremony.

"Where she deserves to be! 🙌🙌🙌 Love Whoopi!" one person wrote in the comments. "Yay! Our EGOT icon! 🙌❤️," another declared. "There is no one better! 👏👏👏👏❤️❤️❤️❤️🔥🔥🔥This is joyous news. ❤️," a different follower added.

Now, it's currently unclear as to what award Whoopi will be on hand to present during the Oscars. No matter the case, she'll join the ranks of Halle Berry, Scarlett Johansson, Robert Downey Jr., Cillian Murphy, Emma Stone and more to help hand out one of the most coveted awards in the acting industry.

Additionally, folks may remember Whoopi has her own history with the Academy Awards. She was first nominated for Best Actress in 1985 for her performance as Celie Harris-Johnson in the film The Color Purple. Six years later in 1991, she received a nomination for Best Supporting Actress for starring in Ghost. She not only won the award, but she expressed at the time just how much being part of the Academy meant to her.

"Ever since I was a little kid, I wanted this," she stated in her acceptance speech at the time. "I come from New York. As a little kid, I lived in the projects — and you're the people I watched. You're the people who made me want to be an actor. I'm so proud to be here. I'm proud to be an actor — and I'm gonna keep on acting. Thank you so much."

We can't wait to see who Whoopi bestows an Oscar to come March 2!
