Comedian Molly Shannon, 60, Reveals Her Beauty and Wellness Essentials
The Only Murders in the Building actress is all about affordable products that support her active lifestyle.
In the Celebrity edition of What's in My Cart, stars reveal the everyday products they're shopping — complemented by expert insights from our editors and analysts when it's something we love too.
From introducing audiences to unforgettable Saturday Night Live characters, to delighting a whole new generation as Bev Melon on Only Murders in the Building, Molly Shannon's physical comedy is unmatched. Fans can catch her in the upcoming Netflix film People We Meet on Vacation, based on the book of the same name by Emily Henry. She also revealed to Good Housekeeping that she's already filmed her scenes for Only Murders in the Building season 5.
"I got to work with Meryl Streep. It was a dream come true. She's the greatest. Everything you would want her to be and more — just so funny and engaging and kind and interested. I did a jig in my hotel room that night when I finished my scene with her," she shared.
While Molly didn't include dancing on her list of go-to workouts, the 60-year-old actress and comedian noted the importance of maintaining an active lifestyle. "Because I'm very physical, it's very important to me," she said. Molly alternates between regular hikes, swims and runs. For self-care, she likes to relax and stretch in the sauna. "It's good to have your muscles and joints warmed up before you stretch. I'm into that whole steam-sauna-exercise lifestyle. Sometimes I'll read in the sauna," she added. "If I have to memorize lines, I'll bring my scripts in, and I'm studying and sweating."
The superstar shared her wellness, beauty and travel essentials with us, including the genius product she got fellow SNL alum Vanessa Bayer hooked on.
