Fans of shows like Yellowstone and Walker will want to tune in to Netflix's new Western series, Ransom Canyon.
Based on the Ransom Canyon book series by Jodi Thomas, the emotional drama follows a group of ranchers struggling to make it in a rural town in Texas. As the newer generations try to uphold a legacy that's been thrust upon them by their elders, each character undergoes their own trials and tribulations. Whether it's dealing with past demons or falling in love for the first time, Ransom Canyon has drama, adventure ... and a few steamy love scenes.
But before we get into the world of Ransom Canyon, we have to meet the players starring in the series. Josh Duhamel and Minka Kelly lead the large cast of the show — and these two have impressive acting credits to their names. What's more, Minka told Netflix's Tudum how the ensemble cast all worked together to create an enticing story for viewers.
“I think that’s what makes us all so excited to go to work every day: There’s just so much love and support between all of us,” she told the outlet. “So, there’s a lot of that that blends into the performance, which is really organic and sweet.”

Josh Duhamel as Staten Kirkland
Where Fans May Know Him From: Originally making his acting debut on All My Children, viewers got to know Josh for his roles in movies like the Transformers franchise, Safe Haven and New Year's Eve. He was last seen on Netflix in the superhero series Jupiter's Legacy.

Minka Kelly as Quinn O'Grady
Where Fans May Know Her From: Most famous for starring in the NBC series Friday Night Lights, Minka also starred on Parenthood, Almost Human and the DC Comics series Titans. Her last role was a recurring stint on Euphoria, and she released her memoir Tell Me Everything in 2023.

James Brolin as Cap Fuller
Where Fans May Know Him From: A two-time Golden Globe and Emmy Award winner, James became famous for his work in projects like Marcus Welby M.D., Hotel and The Amityville Horror. In his personal life, James is married to music legend Barbra Streisand and his son is actor James Brolin.
Lizzy Greene as Lauren Brigman
Where Fans May Know Her From: Making her TV debut on the Nickelodeon sitcom Nicky, Ricky, Dicky and Dawn, she later became well-known for her role as Sophie Dixon on the ABC drama A Million Little Things.
Eoin Macken as Davis Collins
Where Fans May Know Him From: Originally a model for brands like Abercrombie and Fitch and Ralph Lauren, the Irish star made waves for playing Sir Dwaine in the BBC series Merlin. He later had roles on NBC shows including The Nightshift and La Brea.
Meta Golding as Paula Jo
Where Fans May Know Her From: Beginning her career in acting in the mid-1990s, viewers may recognize her for portraying Agent Jordan Todd on season 4 of Criminal Minds. She also was seen as Enobaria in The Hunger Games movie franchise.
Jack Schumacher as Yancy Grey
Where Fans May Know Him From: After making guest spots in shows like S.W.A.T. and Chicago P.D., he captured attention from viewers by portraying Lt. Neil "Omaha" Vikander in Top Gun: Maverick in 2022.
Marianly Tejada as Ellie Estevez
Where Fans May Know Her From: Growing up in the Dominican Republic, she made headlines in 2011 for winning Miss Mundo Dominicana that year. She later went on to represent the country at Miss world 2011. She played Bronwyn Rojas on the Peacock Original drama One of Us Is Lying.
Andrew Liner as Reid Collins
Where Fans May Know Him From: While Andrew's acting catalog may not be as long as his co-stars', he did gain some traction for guest starring on the Freeform series Growing-ish and the Peacock fantasy show Vampire Academy.
Jennifer Ens as Ashley
Where Fans May Know Her From: Making her acting debut in the 2021 TV series Chapelwaite, Jennifer also starred in the 2023 TV movie Buying Back My Daughter and the 2024 horror film #AMFAD: All My Friends Are Dead.
Garrett Wareing as Lucas Russell
Where Fans May Know Him From: Originally starring in shows like Pretty Little Liars: The Perfectionists and Manifest, Garrett also appeared in the 2016 film Independence Day: Resurgence. Along with Ransom Canyon, he is also slated to appear in the upcoming film The Long Walk in 2025.
Kate Burton as Katherine Bullock
Where Fans May Know Her From: The daughter of acting legends Richard Burton and Sybil Christopher, Grey's Anatomy fans will know her best for her portrayal of Dr. Ellis Grey. Jaren K. Robledo as Jack Yellowbird

Casey W. Johnson as Kit Russell

Niko Guardado as Tim O'Grady
