Now in its 50th season, Saturday Night Live is celebrating five decades of laughter during a televised anniversary special on February 16.
Under the guidance of producer Lorne Michaels, the sketch comedy show, which has been on the air since 1975, has launched the careers of some of the funniest performers of the last four decades, including Kristen Wiig (who was on the show from 2005-2012), Tina Fey (2000-2006), Jimmy Fallon (1998-2004), Will Ferrell (1995-2002), Adam Sandler (1991-1995), Chris Rock (1990-1993), Eddie Murphy (1980-1984), Bill Murray (1977-1980), and Chevy Chase (1975-1976).
