I don't know about you, but I adore everything about weddings. I may be single (for the moment, at least), but there's just something so lovely about seeing two people in love wanting to honor their romance in a way that feels fitting for a celebration. Between the bride wearing a beautiful wedding dress, the couple dancing to the best love songs and picking out the perfect wedding gifts, what more could you ask for?
When it's not wedding season and I still want to indulge in all things matrimonial, I turn to the best wedding movies to keep the party going. Some selections are timeless classics, like Runaway Bride or The Wedding Planner. Others are stories that feature all kinds of unique family dynamics, like My Big Fat Greek Wedding. And we absolutely can't forget about those who help make the party extra memorable, like the friends who are part of the bridal party. This is where movies like Bridesmaids come in, with all the love, laughter and hijinks that make the special day, well, special.
So, are you ready to jump the broom and celebrate a fictional wedding? I know I am, and I can't wait to watch these choices from the comfort of my own home. And if it's possible, I may just wear white comfy loungewear for the occasion too ...

Jennifer Lopez plays a single wedding planner who's all about making her clients' dreams come true on their special day. When she accidentally runs into a man who could be the one for her, she realizes a major setback: her latest job is to put on the wedding for none other than his fiancée.
My Best Friend's Wedding (1997)
If there was ever a perfect wedding movie, it would surely be this one ... right? Julia Roberts and Dermot Mulroney star as best friends who have a pact that they'll marry each other if they're still single at 28. But when Dermot's character reveals he's getting married in four days, will the two's chance at love ever happen?

My Big Fat Greek Wedding (2002)
Nia Vardalos plays Toula, a 30-year-old Greek-American woman who's been single her entire life. When she meets Ian Miller (John Corbett), she worries about him not being accepted by her loud and flamboyant immigrant family. What comes from this is a movie full of heart, soul, and the true meaning of love ... whether it be romantic or familial.
Father of the Bride (1991)
Steve Martin plays a proud family man who is a dad to an adult daughter and teenage son. When his daughter returns from studying abroad with a fiancé in tow, he's now grappling with the fact his baby girl is about to get married. If the heartwarming premise isn't enough, we get to see Steve and Martin Short's comedy dynamic shine way earlier than them working together on Only Murders in the Building.
Father of the Bride (2022)
Given the success of the 1991 film, it's only fair that folks would get a reimagining of the film over three decades later. This time, though, viewers get to see a Cuban-American couple prepare for their daughter's impending wedding, with all the traditions that come along with it. And if that isn't enough to convince you to watch it, we have one name that will seal the deal: Gloria Estefan.
Anyone But You (2023)
Glen Powell and Sydney Sweeney star as two single adults who don't have the best first date. But they quickly find themselves going to the same destination wedding in Australia, leading for them to pretend to be a couple and keep up the appearance of them being happy together. Will their (false) love prevail?

Debra Messing plays a single woman who's nervous about traveling without a date to her sister's London wedding ceremony — where her ex is in the bridal party. She therefore decides to hire a man to be her date, leading to more than she bargained for in love.

Our Family Wedding (2010)
Lucia and Marcus are happily in love, and they announce they're getting married. While they think the wedding is for themselves, they quickly realize that the party is something that belongs to their families, traditions and all. It's definitely heartfelt, and the jokes strewn throughout will have you cracking up.
The Wedding Singer (1998)
Taking place in 1985, Adam Sandler plays a heartbroken guy whose job is to sing at multiple weddings. When he falls in love with one of his clients planning on getting married (portrayed by Drew Barrymore), he decides to win her over before he loses his chance at finding romance all over again.
