It's been 35 years since Saved by the Bell premiered in 1989. Mario Lopez was just 16 years old when he first played the role of A.C. Slater. "It's just wild that it's been 35 years," Mario tells Good Housekeeping. "It's nice that people still bring it up. It was just a kid's show, and I still keep in contact with everyone. I have nothing but fond memories."
Now, the 50-year-old actor is a father to three kids of his own β ages 13, 10 and 5 β and keeps busy balancing their schedule of sports, school and travel along with his many hosting jobs and acting gigs. "They like to come with me to work and hang out, which is fun," the Access Hollywood anchor says of his children. His wife, Courtney Lopez, co-hosts the On With Mario podcast, joining him a few times a week. "We make sure we carve out time for just us," he says when asked how the pair balance their professional and romantic relationships. "You can't stop dating just because you're married."
Good Housekeeping spoke with Mario about the everyday essentials that help keep him, his wife and kids on track through it all, from the sunscreen the whole family uses to the self-proclaimed "cologne connoisseur's" favorite fragrance.
