If you're new to the book-loving rabbit hole that is BookTok, grab a snack and get tunneling. Just like the rest of the TikTok platform, BookTok is a place where readers, book reviewers and even authors share their favorite reads and talk about everything they like — or didn't like — about what they find there.

Think of it like a book club for the digital age: since the platform is free and easy to use, just about anyone can download the app and post their thoughts, and boy, do they ever. Just scroll through the #BookTok hashtag on TikTok, and you'll find everything from beautifully produced, professional-looking video reviews to people sitting in their cars (a favorite TikTok spot because hey, what else are you doing waiting for carpool pickup?) raving about the latest feel-good read they just couldn't put down.

Maybe you've heard the name Colleen Hoover? Her books skyrocketed to popularity after BookTok couldn't get enough of them, and she's not the only one. Lots of brand-new books, romance novels, LGBTQG+ reads, under-the-radar favorites and much-beloved classics have all found life on the platform.

Here are a few of the best and most popular books BookTok has recommended lately. Add them to your own TBR pile then maybe try posting a TikTok review yourself. Maybe you'll discover a fun, new hobby.
