After venturing to New York City at the age of 15, Lucille Ball made a name for herself as an actress and comedian. During her time shooting her iconic TV show, I Love Lucy, and paving the way for female film executives, Lucille spent many days on sets. See some of the private behind-the-scenes moments from her career, from filming scenes with her husband to reading scripts as a studio head.

1934: 'Kid Millions'

The up-and-coming actress fixes her makeup on the set of Kid Millions, in which she played a"Goldwyn Girl." Lucille's first appearance on-screen was in an uncredited role the prior year in a film called The Bowery.
