3"I'm Coming Out" by Diana Ross
Apparently, Chic's Nile Rodgers was inspired to write this funky 1980 dance hit for Diana Ross after seeing multiple drag queens dressed as the singer at a New York gay club. Since then, the song has become an empowering and celebratory LGBTQ+ coming out anthem.

4"Girls Like Girls" by Hayley Kiyoko
Hayley Kiyoko became an iconic LGBTQ+ musician with her song "Girls Like Girls" from 2015. With lyrics like "Girls like girls, like boys do, nothing new," Kiyoko proudly claims that queer relationships are just as valid as straight ones. After multiple albums all with beautiful queer songs, Sivan's newest music featured dance-pop songs perfect for Pride Month like "Rush" and "One of Your Girls." In the latter, he dresses up like a drag queen and sings about a crush that everyone else loves, claiming he can even "be like one of your girls or your homies."

This slow ballad from gay singer Sam Smith follows a man coming out and professing that sexuality should be accepted, period. He sings, “Don’t you try and tell me that God doesn’t care for us / It is him I love, it is him I love.”
