• Jenna Bush Hager has been a personality on the Today show since 2009.
  • The TV host talked about whether she'd ever move away from New York City after leaving the NBC series.
  • She also opened up about why she thinks Texas would be a great place to raise her family.

Ever since Jenna Bush Hager debuted as a member of the Today show back in 2009, folks have seen her go from being a TV correspondent to a well-loved co-host. And with the fact she also is the star of her own fourth hour show, Today With Jenna and Friends, it feels like she is here to stay ... right?

Well, it seems like Jenna may already be thinking of other things after her time on the Today show ends. In a conversation with guest co-host Matt Rogers during the August 6 taping, the duo discussed the topic of moving back to their hometowns after both being transplants in New York City (a.k.a. where Today currently films). So, does this make anyone wonder if Jenna Bush Hager is leaving the Today show in 2025? While Jenna has certainly made a name for herself in the Big Apple, she's not shy about the idea of leaving Manhattan when the right time comes.

"I have this sort of dream — I just think everybody should have chapters in their lives," she stated in the episode that was posted on YouTube. "So, I have a dream, I don’t know how realistic it is, but when this chapter, when the Jenna & Friends chapter has come to a close."

But that's not all Jenna had to say about the subject. When thinking about where she'd love to move her family (which includes husband Henry Hager and their kids Mila, Poppy and Hal) in the future, she said she'd love to go back to the state that has had her heart since childhood.

"When I’m ready to go to my next chapter, I think it’d be so nice to move back to Texas and let my kids — I went to a big public high school — like, have a different life."

As fans may know, Jenna spent her formative years living in Austin, Texas, before her dad George W. Bush became the 43rd President of the United States in 2001. After that, she lived and worked in Washington, D.C. before becoming a news reporter for Today.

In addition to starring on Today, fans also know Jenna for running the "Read With Jenna" book club and creating her Thousand Voices book publishing imprint.

Well, we certainly will have to keep an eye out for what's next!
