There's something different happening this week on Live With Kelly and Mark.

To fans' surprise, Kelly Ripa wasn't in her usual chair during the August 4 episode of the ABC series, and instead, Nobody Wants This star Jackie Tohn filled her seat. And if that's not enough, Live's official episode guide shows that The Rookie star Jenna Dewan is hosting alongside Kelly's husband Mark Consuelos on August 5, and Rita Ora will be in the studio on August 6.

Once fans saw Kelly was absent, they immediately took to social media to voice their concern about her whereabouts.

"Where was Kelly?" one person asked on Facebook. "Where is Kelly? First Mark, now Kelly," someone else said. "Are Kelly and Mark taking turns being off?" another person wrote.

As fans know, Mark took time off from Live the week of July 28. In his absence, Kelly got the chance to work with folks Jerry O'Connell, David Muir, Carson Kressley and others. And this week, it seems to be Kelly's turn.

While Mark hasn't explicitly shared details about his wife's whereabouts, as of right now, it looks like the reason behind Kelly's absence on Live With Kelly and Mark is simply due to a summer break.

Of course, it could be for something even more exciting, like last year, when TV Insider reported that Kelly was absent from the show in August 2024 in order to receive the Disney Legend title at the D23 Expo in California.

And Kelly certainly would need a bit of a work breather after spending the end of July promoting her and Mark's new ESPN series Running With Wolves, centered around them being part owners of Campobasso FC soccer team in Campobasso, Italy.

"The wait is over — Episodes 3 & 4 drop at 7PM ET on ESPN and ESPN+," Mark wrote on Instagram on July 31. "Stream the full season tonight!"

Even though we're not sure exactly where Kelly is, we're looking forward to seeing her back on our TV screens very soon!
