Where Emily Gilmore leads, it seems like Lorelai Gilmore will follow!

For years, Gilmore Girls fans have adored the long-term friendship between Lauren Graham and her on-screen mom, Kelly Bishop. From reuniting and starring in the Netflix reboot to popping up at each other's events, it seems like their bond is only getting stronger! And as Lauren posted on Instagram on July 29, she was there for Kelly for something close to the latter's heart.

Thanks to a series of photos, Lauren revealed she was on hand to support Kelly at the 50th anniversary celebration for the musical A Chorus Line (which Kelly starred in as Sheila Bryant back in 1975) in New York City. What's more, Lauren had the chance to express the unique way she took part in cheering on her friend for her big night on Broadway.

"It was beyond thrilling to get to introduce Ms. Kelly Bishop at the 50th Anniversary of A Chorus Line at the @shubertorg theater Sunday night," she emotionally wrote in the caption. "The performances were incredible, magical, inspiring! Also, this photo of us is wack because in real life Kelly is about 1/16 my size. xL"

When fans caught that Lauren and Emily reunited in real time, they got quite passionate about seeing the fictional mother-daughter duo once again.

"LORELAI AND EMILY IM BAWLING 😭," one person cried in the comments. "Name a more iconic TV Mum and TV Daughter duo ... I will wait ... ," another replied. "Your friendship is timeless and I live for it 💜🥹," a different follower added.

We so love seeing these two in any way we can get them! And clearly Lauren and Kelly's friendship is one they both cherish, as Lauren expressed to her when she moderated Kelly's appearance at the 92nd Street Y in New York City in September 2024.

"I feel so happy and proud," Lauren said onstage at the time, per People. "[Kelly's memoir] is just incredible, you are just incredible. Any excuse to see you — but to be here together is just something I would never miss ... Every day, I’m so lucky I get to be your pretend daughter."
