Robin Roberts is marking an incredible milestone with her wife Amber Laign ... and they're celebrating it with something close to their hearts.
If you haven't been following their longtime journey of love, Robin and Amber have been together since 2005, and fans remember when the Good Morning America star and Amber later tied the knot back in September 2023. Although the duo is reaching their second wedding anniversary, they wanted to do something meaningful to help mark two decades of romance. They decided on a service trip to Rwanda, which Robin made sure to document with photos posted on her Instagram.
"We’re in #Rwanda as guests of @inmuwetrust_ & @giantsofafrica celebrating young basketball players across Africa," she wrote on July 27. "Every last Saturday in the month in Rwanda is a national day of service!! 👏🏽 Wonderful way for the two of us to celebrate 20 years as a couple … it certainly has been an adventure! 💕."
Given how Robin and Amber had reached an incredible mark in their romantic relationship, it didn't take long before some of Robin's ABC colleagues to celebrate the couple online.
"How incredible!!! Happy 20 years!! 😍," Gio Benitez wrote in the comments. "What a special trip! And happy anniversary ❤️!" Whit Johnson penned. "❤️," David Muir simply added.
And just like Robin's fellow ABC co-workers, fans were equally celebratory about her and Amber's relationship anniversary.
"Wow!! Congratulations to you both!!! What a journey you've both been on. Best wishes ❤️❤️❤️ You're amazing 👏 ⚘️," one person replied. "A beautiful way to celebrate 20 years of being together. Happy anniversary. ❤️❤️🌻🌻🦋🦋," another remarked. "Beautiful ❤️ And congratulations 🎊 on twenty years 🙌🏾🙏🏽," a third commenter noted.
As some may remember, Robin and Amber's romance first began after an initially rocky road to a blind date. When the two did get together, though, they supported each other through career highs and health lows from both women. Throughout everything they endured, the twosome are as happy as ever — something Robin alluded to when back when they got married.
"An intimate, magical wedding ceremony in our backyard followed by a joyous reception," she wrote at the time on Instagram. "Oh, the dancing!! We are immensely grateful to all for making it a day and a night to remember."
