Izzy Battres is in good company. The star of Izzy Does It recently found out that his series has been cancelled by HGTV, but he seems to be taking the news in stride.
HGTV has not commented on the future of any of the programs, but, according to the hosts, Izzy Does It joins the list of axed shows along with Married to Real Estate, Bargain Block, Christina on the Coast, Battle on the Beach, and Farmhouse Fixer.
The contractor shared an update with fans, writing, "It’s not the news we wanted to give, but here it is: there will be no Season 2. Still, we’re so grateful for every single person who tuned in, supported us, and made the first season unforgettable. 🙏🏽"
Still, it's back to work for Izzy, who runs a successful home renovation business with his family in California. He continues to share behind-the-scenes looks at his current projects with his followers on Instagram. In a recent post, he shared a photo of himself on a job site paired with this message: "Job walks, new projects on the horizon, nonstop meetings—days like this keep me fired up! 🔥 We’re building, growing, and doing it all over again tomorrow… 😂👏🏽"
Fans love seeing updates from Izzy, but still took the opportunity to chime in with their thoughts about the cancellation of his show with messages like "Awesome!! Now, can we get y'all back on HGTV??" and " We miss you on HGTV. I won’t watch anything on HGTV until they bring back Izzy Does It!!" Another suggested, "I hope you start posting Izzy Does It type episodes on YouTube!!"
We're hoping HGTV finds a way to bring him back! In the meantime, we'll keep an eye on Izzy's Instagram feed for updates.
