- Gilmore Girls is coming to Hallmark.
- The show will air on weekdays and weekends, beginning August 25.
- The announcement comes as the show celebrates its 25-year anniversary.
It’s been nearly 25 years since Gilmore Girls first graced our screens in 2000. And to celebrate, the Hallmark Channel is giving fans just what they’ve asked for: More Gilmore Girls, of course.
In a July press release, Hallmark revealed that the show will officially be returning to our television screens. “Beginning August 25, pop culture sensation Gilmore Girls joins the Hallmark Channel lineup,” the release reads. “Hallmark Channel viewers can watch Gilmore Girls from the very beginning on weekdays from 2-6pm and on weekends from 8-10am, in addition to special occasion marathons.”
The Hallmark Channel also shared the news on their Instagram page, and fans immediately began commenting with their reactions. “STOP I LOVE THISSSSS,” one person wrote. “Never can get enough of the Gilmore Girls. Thanks Hallmark!,” another added. “This makes me so happy,” a third person agreed.
And that’s not all fans of Stars Hollow have to look forward to. To further celebrate the show’s 25th anniversary, Hallmark is selling special merchandise that makes for perfect gifts for Gilmore Girls fans. The keepsakes include slippers, a blanket, a trivia game and more. (Sounds like just the thing to accompany your Gilmore Girls Monopoly set if you ask us.)
Now, if you're concerned that the Hallmark lineup addition may mean you'll no longer be able to stream the show, don't worry. All seasons of the show are still available to stream on Hulu and on Netflix, with no plans for removal this year.
It's time to start prepping to watch the series all over again!
