- The actress shared a rare personal update about their marriage on Instagram.
Brooke Shields is soaking in the joys of summertime — and she's doing it with the ones she loves most.
Amid a busy year of promoting her haircare line Commence and releasing her memoir Brooke Shields Is Not Allowed to Get Old, there hasn't been much time for the actress to relax and enjoy quieter life moments. Well, that all seemed to change over the summer, as Brooke clued fans into what she's been doing to spend some time outdoors in between gigs.
As she shared on Instagram on July 9, Brooke made sure to get in some quality time with her husband of 24 years, director and film producer Chris Henchy (with whom she shares daughters Rowan and Grier). As she shared selfies with Chris and Grier while out on the water, Brooke also showed off their pet dog, who seemed to be having a good time alongside the family.
"Summer Lovin’ 💋☀️," she sweetly wrote in the caption.
Given how Brooke doesn't often display her romantic relationship with Chris on social media, fans were immediately drawn to seeing the married duo give a rare update about their love life.
"You two are adorable! 😍," one person wrote in the comments. "Love that you keep it real. You look amazing," another agreed. "Such beautiful and happy pictures!!!" a different follower added.
As some may know, Brooke and Chris have been together ever since they met on the Warner Bros. studio lot in 1999. The couple got engaged in 2000, and they wed in April 2001, per People. And even though they prefer to keep their romance away from the cameras, Brooke made sure to celebrate one of Chris' milestone birthdays earlier this year.
"My love turned 61 on Sunday!" Brook wrote on Instagram alongside throwback photos with Chris back in March. "He makes me laugh more than anyone else and has tolerated me for so long now. I love you, Chris!! The best dad. Happy belated birthday Henchy!!"
Could this couple be any more adorable?
