Andrea Bocelli is doing something a little different this fall β and it's a career venture that's large enough for the big screen.
Fans know Andrea to be a classical singer, with plenty of albums and songs released over the last three decades. But folks may also remember how the singer was the subject of his own documentary film, with Andrea Bocelli: Because I Believe premiering at the Toronto International Film Festival in October 2024. Telling the journey of Andrea's road to success, the film sees Andrea address the highs and lows of his life while also talking to many of his loved ones.
Now, it looks like fans will get the chance to see Andrea at the movies later this year. According to an announcement on July 9, Andrea Bocelli: Because I Believe is set to launch at both U.S. and international box offices beginning September 21, 2025. And if that's not enough, the singer went on Instagram to confirm the big announcement as well.
"BECAUSE I BELIEVE," read the caption. "Meet the man behind the voice. Andrea Bocelli: Because I Believe comes to selected cinemas around the world, from September 21. Cosima Spender's documentary is an up-close celebration of Andrea's 30-year career, offering his adoring fans a never-before-seen, intimate portrait of him as a husband father and dear friend."
When fans discovered Andrea would be segueing into the world of movies in this personal manner, many were excited to see the singer's story come to life onscreen.
"Amazing, wow!! π," one person wrote in the comments. "This guy drops a new movie every year! Love it ππ," another exclaimed. "Fantastic!!!! God bless you always," a different follower replied.
Now, some people may know this isn't the only movie Andrea has released over the years. His latest concert film Andrea Bocelli 30: The Celebration was released back in November 2024, which featured a number of star-studded appearances throughout the movie.
As for how Andrea Bocelli feels about his documentary film being released, he's thrilled to share his story with the world.
"The reason I welcomed with enthusiasm and gratitude the proposal to capture my entire life on film by [director] Cosima [Spender] β in its entirety, without filters β is reflected in the very title of the documentary: Because I Believe," he shared in an official statement with Deadline. "I believe in people, in life, and in our heavenly father who gave it to us. I believe in the power of love β the force that moves the world β a love I have humbly tried to witness through my music and my life. It is for the sake of this message β of which I remain but a modest messenger β that I hope this film will be seen."
Congrats, Andrea!
