HGTV is changing up its programming, and four popular shows got the ax last week. While the network hasn't issued a statement, the show's stars have taken to social media to share the fate of their series.
What we know: Farmhouse Fixer, Izzy Does It, Married to Real Estate, and Bargain Block have all been cancelled by HGTV, according to their hosts. Fans have been upset by the news, and have wondered what the future of the network holds.
When designer Egypt Sherrod shared the news that Married to Real Estate had been cancelled, she was flooded with messages from viewers and fellow HGTV stars. Christina Haack wrote, "You guys are amazing and will thrive at anything and everything you do!! ❤️" and Heather Rae El Moussa added, "So sad to hear this! Love your show." Brian Kleinschmidt wrote, "Every setback is a setup for a comeback! 🫡 Can’t wait to see what’s next….watch out world. 👊"
Ty Pennington left a powerful message. The Rock the Block host has seen a lot over his decades of experience on home renovation shows. He commented, "You know, in general I thought I had decent gauge about what TV executives wanted and the last few years have completely shattered that. Seriously shocked to hear this! Ya’ll are true professionals and I especially loved the designs from the last season 🙌 Keeping doing you 🙏🏼❤️ Onward and upward!"
We're eager to see what's next for all of these HGTV stars and what the network has planned for future programming.
