Get ready, Sterling K. Brown fans! The Paradise star is appearing in a brand-new project — and it's coming sooner than you might think.

The This Is Us alum is currently in the middle of filming Paradise season 2, but fans were ecstatic to learn that Sterling has a new TV show coming out this summer. Titled Washington Black, a report from TV Line revealed the eight-episode series is expected to drop all at once for viewers to watch on July 23, 2025 on Hulu. And if that's not enough to excite you, Sterling (who stars in and executive produces the show) shared a joint Instagram post featuring a first look trailer of what's to come.

"A journey beyond your wildest dreams," the caption read on June 23. "#WashingtonBlackHulu premieres July 23 only on Hulu and #HuluOnDisneyPlus."

Given how fans are eager to see Sterling back on their TV screens, they were thrilled by the prospect of his new project.

"You had me at Sterling K Brown," one person wrote in the comments. "I’ll watch anything that Sterling is in. I can’t wait!" another exclaimed. "Mr. Sterling K Brown is booked & busy!! 😍," a different follower added.

Well, looks like we'll be marking our calendars for this one! And for those who don't know what Washington Black is about, Deadline describes the series as an adaptation of the best-selling 2018 novel by Esi Edugyan.

Following the life of 11-year-old George Washington "Wash" Black, born on a Barbados sugar plantation, the outlet writes that the show will chronicle how a "prodigious scientific mind sets him on a path of unexpected destiny." And when an accident causes him to flee the only home he's known, he goes on "a globe-spanning adventure that challenges and reshapes his understanding of family, freedom and love."

Now, as far as Sterling's role on Washington Black, he's set to portray Medwin Harris. According to show creator Selwyn Seyfu Hinds, Medwin becomes a mentor of sorts to the older Wash as the series progresses.

“The thing about Sterling is he’s not some kind of diva movie star who’s like, 'Write me a gigantic role,'" he stated to Us Weekly. "It was what’s going to serve the story best. It took me a couple of months to really figure out that so much of this tale is about mentorship, who you mentor and who you’re mentored by ... We already had that character in the book in Medwin, so from there it was just building it out."
