- Al documented his and Deborah's weekend on Instagram.
Al Roker is soaking in the warm weather with his wife Deborah Roberts — and they're doing it in a way that marks an unexpected occasion.
The Today show host and ABC news anchor took some time away from New York City to spend the weekend at the picturesque Martha's Vineyard in Massachusetts. While they enjoyed their time with friends and watched the sunsets, Al and Deborah had one other mission in mind for the trip. The two were on hand to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the movie Jaws debuting in theaters, which Al proudly repped with appropriate swag for the film.
"What a great weekend on #marthasvineyard celebrating the #50th anniversary of #jaws hosted by good friends @maggietowles and @amortowles," he wrote on Instagram on June 23. "And special thanks to @remycreations for the best #jawsswag EVER!!"
Given how Al and Deborah don't always share how they like to celebrate their weekends together, people couldn't stop commenting on the couple's quick getaway up north to kick off the summertime.
"Beautiful pictures! Thank you for sharing your happiness," one person wrote in the comments. "Happy you had a good weekend with Deborah!" another agreed. "Beautiful couple in lovely Martha’s Vineyard ❤️," a different follower added.
Well, we absolutely love to see Al and Deborah spending whatever time they can together. And given how Al has been going all over the country for various moments with the Today show, it's nice to see him kick back and relax in a way that he clearly enjoyed.
Speaking of family time, Deborah isn't the only person Al has been hanging out with as of late. Just one week prior, he got to see his daughter Courtney Roker Laga and granddaughter Sky Clara Laga as they helped celebrate Father's Day with him.
"My #girlswithcurls make me happy on this #fathersday," he sweetly captioned the Instagram post on June 15.
Here's to Al sharing more private family moments with us in the future!
