As it turns out, she did it already with her recurring "Songs and Stories" episodes on The Kelly Clarkson Show. And if that's not enough, folks are going to see her explore the world of music even more, thanks to news dropped by NBC back in May.
According to the network, four special TV episodes of Songs and Stories With Kelly Clarkson will air at the end of the summer. Beginning on August 19, 2025 at 10 p.m. ET on NBC, and concluding on September 9, fans will get to see Kelly sing with musicians as they exchange intimate anecdotes about their lives working in the music industry.
"The conversations are a front-row pass for Kelly Clarkson to engage with some of her favorite celebrities and examine both their music and personal lives," an official statement read, per TV Insider in June 2025. "The specials are a forum where iconic voices meet heartfelt storytelling through unfiltered conversation and sung in an intimate, unplugged setting."
When the news of Kelly expanding Songs and Stories began to go viral on Instagram, fans were elated.
"Must-see TV! 👏," one person cheered. "I smell a primetime Emmy nomination 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼," another predicted. "Can’t wait! 😆," a different follower added.
So, who is set to appear on Songs and Stories With Kelly Clarkson when the specials premiere later this summer? Well, music goers better mark their calendars, because they can expect to see Gloria Estefan, the Jonas Brothers, Lizzo and Teddy Swims make appearances throughout August and September. And while it's unclear exactly what collection of songs each episode will contain, we know Kelly's collabs with these artists will be moments we won't forget.
