Hallmark might be best known for its epic Countdown to Christmas, but this year, the network is turning heads with a very special Halloween surprise.
On Friday, June 6, Lacey Chabert took to Instagram to reveal the big news.
In the clip, Emily (Lacey) and her Evergreen Lane crew—Jared (Wes Brown), Pamela (Melissa Peterman), Ned (Stephen Tobolowsky), and Mary Louise (Ellen Travolta)—are standing on a porch decked out with garlands and floating witch hats.
“Wow, these new neighbors must really love Halloween,” Emily said in the clip.
“Yeah, but someone needs to tell them that we’re not exactly a Halloween town,” Wes chimed in.
“Yeah, we could be. And think of all the possibilities,” Mary Louise chirped.
“So many uses for my hot glue gun,” Pamela marveled.
“Yeah, so many real facts about All Hallows Eve I could straighten them out on,” Ned added.
Before long, the Evergreen gals and guys were knocking on their new neighbors' door, only to find out that Halloweentown stars (and real-life husband and wife) Kimberly J. Brown and Daniel Kountz were standing behind it.
In the caption, Lacey announced that Haul Out the Halloween is coming to Hallmark Channel this fall. And, needless to say, fans can hardly contain their excitement over the nostalgic cast.
“Move over Christmas, Hallmark is about to take over Halloween now too!!! I’m here for it,” one Instagrammer exclaimed. “PLEEEEEEASE tell me you’re going to drop in a ‘Halloween is cool’ just once during the movie,” another fan begged, referencing Marnie’s iconic line from the Halloweentown franchise. “The gasp I gusped! This is like all of my favorite things and people in one,” someone else commented. “Oh, I am sat and ready for this,” another person remarked. Another Hallmark enthusiast said, "I’m sorry I’m too shocked and excited to decipher is this REAL!?!?!"
We can confirm: It's real! The exact premiere date for Haul Out the Halloween has yet to be announced. Its premise, however, has.
“For a neighborhood as renowned for its spectacular holiday displays as Evergreen Lane, the street has long been modest when it comes to Halloween,” the movie description reads. “But when fun and spooky new neighbors, Luna (Brown) and Marvin (Kountz) move to the block, Emily (Chabert), Jared (Brown) and the rest of the HOA agree to get in on the seasonal fun and launch EverSCREAM Lane to fundraise for a local charity. As the block pulls together to plan creepy contests, spine-chilling décor and a spooktacular carnival, new haunted hijinks ensue with Pamela (Peterson), Ned (Tobolowsky), Mary Louise (Travolta) and the rest of the block. Through the process, Emily rediscovers the joys of the holiday that she and her late grandmother once cherished.”
Sound familiar? We love the nod to the ‘90s!
