- When Calls the Heart actor Chris McNally is in a romantic relationship with fellow Hallmark star Julie Gonzalo.
- Chris and Julie announced the birth of their daughter in June 2022.
- Julie posted a Father's Day tribute to Chris on X on June 15.
Hallmark star Chris McNally may be private about his personal life, but his girlfriend Julie Gonzalo just made a public declaration about their family for the most sentimental reason.
As the world celebrated Father's Day on June 15, many people on social media wrote heartfelt notes about the dads and paternal figures in their lives. Julie was no exception to this, as she went on X (formerly Twitter) to share her own thoughts about Chris as a dad to their three-year-old daughter. While she didn't share any photos of the family of three, she did acknowledge how much she appreciates having him as a co-parent in their child's life.
"Happy Father’s Day to all wonderful dads … but most of all @ChrisMcNally_ ❤️," she wrote on the platform.
When fans caught wind of Julie's emotional Father's Day note to the When Calls the Heart star, they immediately shared their own kind words to celebrate Father's Day.
"We love the joy in his voice and the look on his face when he talks about being a dad. That couldn’t happen without you by his side," one person wrote on X. "Happy Father’s Day to Chris!! Hope the three of you have a Wonderful Day!! There is nothing like the bond of a Daddy and his daughter," another exclaimed. "Happy Father’s Day to Chris & all of the Dads in your families. It is so heartwarming to hear Chris speak about your beautiful daughter. Forever his greatest role. Chris is a keeper!" a different follower added.
While Chris and Julie haven't revealed the name of their daughter on social media, Chris has given rare statements about how fatherhood has changed his view on life. As he shared with Entertainment Tonight in March 2023, he appreciates how present he can be with his family amid working on a hit series like When Calls the Heart.
"Fatherhood is fantastic. It's my favorite job," he stated at the time. "It's a job I've always wanted to do and I'm really, really grateful that right now, at least, I've got a wonderful dad job because for When Calls the Heart we film four and a half months ... so I can be really present with her. And then I get the rest of the year, which is like, it's just such a blessing ... I've just been on dad mode and it's fantastic."
