• Hoda Kotb and her ex-fiancé Joel Schiffman split after eight years together in January 2022.
  • The former couple continue to co-parent their daughters Haley Joy and Hope Catherine.
  • To celebrate Father's Day on June 15, the Today show alum posted a heartfelt note to Joel on Instagram.

It may be more than three years since Hoda Kotb and her ex-fiancé Joel Schiffman split in 2022, but it doesn't mean the two aren't connected in the most personal way possible!

The Today show host and her former partner aren't a couple anymore, but the two still co-parent their daughters Haley Joy and Hope Catherine (whom they adopted in 2017 and 2019, respectively). As a result, Hoda decided she'd write a personal note to Joel as a way to celebrate Father's Day on June 15. Posting photos of Joel with the girls both at home and while out and about, Hoda couldn't help but express just how much her ex's presence is still felt in their unique family of four.

"A great father’s day for a great dad!" she wrote about Joel in the caption on Instagram. "Happy father’s day Joel!"

Given how Hoda doesn't often showcase Joel's involvement with her and their daughters on social media, people loved seeing the heartfelt note she wrote for him on this special day.

"Those two girls are blessed to have such loving and involved parents," one person wrote in the comments. "Great photo of Dad & his girls!!!" another agreed. "Aww, love seeing Joel! Happy Father’s Day!" a different follower added.

Even though Hoda and Joel are no longer in a romantic relationship, it's clear the two are still connected as parents. And as Hoda stated on the Jamie Kern Lima Show podcast after the split, their bond is still strong despite the change.

"Joel is one of the best people I know. He really is a great human being," Hoda shared about their relationship back in August 2024. "And I feel like I'm a great human being. But sometimes two great human beings together isn't enough to make it work."
