What will Ginny & Georgia season 4 be about?

While Ginny & Georgia is well known for its dramatic storylines and explosive twists, season 3 dropped major bombshells that'll effectively change the future of the show. But despite the series getting dark in tone at points, show creator Sarah Lampert teased to TV Insider fans may feel a certain shift when it comes to season 4.

"Season 3 was always going to be our most explosive, darkest season. It had to be," she told the outlet in June 2025. "We knew we wanted a big murder trial. We knew we wanted things to go viral. We just knew a lot of what we were dealing with. We knew we needed to push our characters to the limit. We need to break everyone. Everyone needed to break with the possibility to rebuild. Season 4, I think, will be tonally a little bit lighter, a little more hopeful still, with the tone balance that we always play with."

But Sarah also noted that despite a change in tone, that doesn't mean there won't be any drama. She particularly made a comment to the publication about Austin (Diesel La Toracca)'s false testimony about his father Gil Timmins (Aaron Ashmore) and how that'll affect the series moving forward.

"It matches up nicely with this idea that before it’s really been Ginny & Georgia, and Austin’s kind of been a bit of a tagalong because he’s a child," she added. "For the first time, and we see it really this season and especially in Episode 10, he starts to have a real point of view, and he starts to really enter the family dynamic in a new way."
