The Dolly General is open again, friends! Dollar General announced just last month that Dolly would be dropping a new limited-edition line, called the Heart & Home Collection, reviving her partnership with the retailer.
All of this comes after fans questioned whether or not the limited-edition collection was really that limited. After products hit stores this spring, they quickly sold out without any sign of restocking. Then came the news that Dollar General was closing over 100 locations, adding even more questions of whether or not the Dolly General would live to see another day. Some fans had even taken to eBay to try and snag some of the extra-limited edition merch since it didn't seem to be coming back to stores.
But we should've known better—Dolly would never leave us hanging like that. The new collection brings a mix of best-sellers from earlier in the year with fresh, festive new finds to celebrate the summer season. Of course, we were so excited about the big news that we had to go see the collection in-store for ourselves.
It couldn't be a Dolly collection without a reference (or a few) to pouring yourself a good ole cup of ambition. While I spotted a handful of ceramic mugs left over from the last collection, these glass mugs are perfect for tea drinkers.
This chalkboard easel was one of the cutest pieces in the collection, in my opinion. It's the perfect size to use for low-key events, and the gingham border goes with just about anything.
You know we can't get enough of our Dolly drinkware! There were a handful of tumblers left at my local Dollar General, but the stock seemed to be dwindling, so you'll want to snatch these up quickly.
Dolly is a woman of the people, so I should've expected plenty of disposable dishware. After all, the best kind of entertaining is the kind you don't have to wash dishes after.
I was so excited to see (a small few!) grilling tools on the shelves. This cute set of guitar tongs was to precious to pass up. It looks like there was a guitar spatula in the collection, as well, but it must have sold out at my location.
What's already sold out: This collection had so many sweet strawberry accents, and I was disappointed to see that I'd already missed those. They also appear to have sold out quickly online, so if you want to snag some I'd suggest you start looking as soon as possible!
Which brings me back to this reminder: this collection is limited edition, so, much like Dolly's last drop, once it's sold out, it's gone. Head over to your local Dollar General or shop what's left online below!
