In a market that’s saturated with every kind of cleanser, moisturizer and serum you can think of, honing in on a skincare routine that actually works for you is no easy feat. But, at 59-years-old, EGOT Viola Davis has seemed to crack the code on smooth, supple, radiant skin.
The star recently revealed her skincare pick that keeps her camera-ready and radiant for big events like a red carpet. “You know, I’m a product girl every day,” Viola shared with New Beauty about her routine in a recent interview. “I would say I’ve got to do some level of an acid peel wipe. L’Oréal has some of the best ones. But I do, only because I want my skin to look smooth.”
L'Oréal Paris’s Revitalift Bright Reveal Anti-Aging Exfoliating Peel Pads are infused with glycolic acid and help to gently resurface the skin to remove texture, uneven skin tone and reduce the appearance of wrinkles, per the brand. Viola notes that she reaches for the pads to help her skin look smooth and typically follows up with an oil moisturizer.
With over 1,800 five-star reviews on Amazon, the peel pads have a loyal consumer base that have also raved about the product’s benefits for their skin. Many also note that after using the pads, they noticed improvement in their skin’s appearance.
“My skin is brighter and it exfoliates well and gently,” one reviewer said. “I’m definitely seeing a difference in my skin’s texture, fine lines and brightness,” another person noted. “I also noticed that my skin is more smooth and very, very soft. I don't know if it's a combination of using the whole [Revitalift] line or just this product, but it is working so well I am going to stick with it,” a third reviewer added.
Not only do consumers love it, but the Good Housekeeping Institute Beauty Lab is also a fan, naming the product as a winner in its 2021 Beauty Awards. At the time, 71% of testers reported that [the pads] brightened skin, and most remarked on how easy they were to use. It's also been a consistent pick in the Lab's roundups of best at-home chemical peels and best glycolic acid products for its affordable price point and ability to reduce blemish-causing bacteria by 19%.
It's currently available on Amazon for just $20. Though, if you're hoping to lock down more of Viola's beauty routine, check out some more of her most-loved products (several are on sale!) below.
