Alison Sweeney is officially back on Hallmark, and we've got a sneak peek of her new film with Ashley Williams, To Barcelona, With Love, to hold you over before it airs on June 7.
In an exclusive clip from the movie, fans get to see Alison portray Erica, an American translator who finds herself re-writing a novel that's set in the iconic Spanish city. But when the book's author, Anna (portrayed by Ashley), ends up coming to Barcelona for a book signing, the two find themselves in an unexpected situation.
"I'm really excited," Anna tells Erica while walking along the water. "This is like my second chance to prove myself."
"Just remember, that writing short stories isn't easy," Anna replies. "You have to fit a lot in a little space, and sometimes they don't turn out the way you want them to."
When Anna suggests that Erica help her translate her next work, it's not actually a literary project Anna's referring to. Turns out, she needs a little help finding love with a bookstore owner.
"There's something I really do need your help with," Anna asks Erica. "I like Nico [Alejandro Tous] — like a lot. I need your help finding the words that I mean to say, but better."
As fans know, Alison and Ashley will be working on two movies for Hallmark's annual "Passport to Love" event. Their next film, To Barcelona, Forever, is set to premiere on June 14!
Needless to say, we'll definitely be tuning in to see what happens.
