Hoda Kotb is sounding off on a major rumor about her career β€” and what she said might surprise daytime TV fans.

The media personality left the Today show back in January, but she made an epic return to the NBC series on May 28 to announce her new wellness app Joy 101. While speaking with Craig Melvin and Savannah Guthrie about the venture on Today, the conversation turned to rumors about Hoda potentially hosting The Kelly Clarkson Show (which Kelly Clarkson is currently slated to host through 2026) in the future. While Hoda initially seemed surprised to hear about this, she clarified that there's only one show that could draw her back to working on television.

"If I ever came back to TV, do you know where the only place I would ever come back to is?" Hoda asked Craig and Savannah in an Instagram clip. "Right here! This is the spot! There's no place like home! Delete, delete. It's not true."

Upon hearing Hoda's brutal honesty about her future on daytime TV, it didn't take long for fans to beg to see her on their screens again.

"This QUEEN is the BEST!!!! πŸ”₯πŸ”₯πŸ”₯πŸ”₯πŸ”₯πŸ”₯," one person wrote. "Please come back!!! Even just one day a week!!!πŸ‘πŸ‘ please come back!!!πŸ”₯❀️," another begged. "I mean it isn’t a bad idea either πŸ€·β€β™‚οΈ," a different follower added.

Even though it seems like a long shot (for now!), at least we know Hoda has thought about the idea of coming back to television. But given how she's busy running a new wellness app and preparing for the release of her book Jump and Find Joy in September 2025, we totally understand why she'd want to pause the on-camera gigs for now.

As far as how Hoda feels about leaving the Today show, she posted an Instagram montage expressing just how much the program has meant to her over the years.

"This is my happy place, on the [Rockefeller] Plaza," she stated in the clip detailing the launch of Joy 101 on May 28. "I love this spot, and I miss it every single day."

No matter the case, we can't wait to see what Hoda has up her sleeve!
