As we get knee deep into Sullivan's Crossing season 3, it's about time we get to meet some of the other players who had an effect on Cal Jones (Chad Michael Murray)'s life.

The hit CW drama continues to drop new episodes every Wednesday night, and this season has fans invested in the newly-formed romance between Cal and Maggie Sullivan (Morgan Kohan). Now, Good Housekeeping is here to show fans a new phase in the duo's relationship — and it involves the couple leaving the Crossing to embark on what can only be an emotional adventure.

In an exclusive clip from the season 3 episode "The Ties That Bind" airing Wednesday, May 28, 2025 at 8 p.m. ET on the CW, viewers get to see Maggie and Cal as they go on a road trip to Cal's hometown of Woodstock, New York. With Cal receiving a phone call regarding his estranged dad's health the episode prior, Maggie is there alongside him as he gives a little more detail into why he doesn't speak to his parents.

"When was the last time you spoke to them?" Maggie asks Cal while in the car.

"Not since Lynn passed away," Cal responds, referencing the death of his wife from ALS prior to joining the community living at the Crossing. "I was never that close with my father. He's too unpredictable. To be honest, I'm just hoping he doesn't answer the door wearing a tin foil hat."

Even though time will tell what Cal's reunion with his parents will be like, at least we know Maggie is on his side providing support. What's more, she makes sure Cal is aware of her role in all of this ... even if it makes Cal a bit uneasy.

"Even if he does, you don't have anything to be embarrassed about," Maggie adds. "I'll be fine."

"Well, can't say I didn't warn you," Cal replies.
