After an impressive nine seasons, fans haven't seen Home Town duo Erin and Ben Napier this nervous about a reveal in quite some time. In the latest episode of the hit HGTV show, the Mississippi couple were tasked with transforming an outdated cottage into a bright, museum-quality space for a former corporate exec and interior designer—certainly no easy feat, especially when designing for someone with an artist's eye.
Not to spoil the episode if you haven't seen it yet (consider this your sign to go watch it ASAP), but in classic Napier fashion, the Home Town hosts nailed the renovation right on the head. They turned the outdated home into an airy oasis, perfectly suited to the homeowner's specific and artistic taste.
Erin and Ben shared a sneak peek of the episode on Instagram and summed it up best with their caption: "Designing for a designer is...tricky." But after hanging out in the comment section, it's clear that something (or should we say, someone) quickly caught Home Town fans' attention. "Mike really is back! Yay! 😍," wrote one person. "Loving it and so nice seeing Mike," and "Mike is back!!! ❤️ I’m so happy to see him," added others.
Among the many experts the Napiers have featured on Home Town, Mike Husars, also known as "Mike the Floor Guy", has been a fan favorite for multiple seasons. Following the season 6 premiere, Mike was noticeably absent from the show and it didn't take fans long to notice the Mike-sized hole missing in the episodes. After seeing all the concerns from the show's viewers, Erin took to social media to share a quick update on Mike back in 2022.
Erin revealed that Mike was taking a step back from the show in order to care for a family member with a long-term illness, as well as recovering from hip surgery. Fast forward to the latest episode and Mike is back and better than ever. Although his appearance was brief, it was more than enough to thrill longtime fans (us included!) who were excited to see him back in his element.
