Reba McEntire got a very special shoutout from her son, Shelby Blackstock.

Shelby (whom Reba shares with her ex-husband Narvel Blackstock) does occasionally post about his famous mom on social media, but he really went all out for Mother's Day on May 11. Uploading a series of photos (which also featured his wife Marissa and Reba's boyfriend Rex Linn) on Instagram, Shelby surprised everyone by writing a rare tribute to the country singer.

"Happy Mother’s Day to the best there is," he affectionately wrote in the caption. "Your love, strength, and wisdom shaped me—and I’m forever thankful. Love you always. @reba #happymothersday ❤️ #best #mom."

But that's not all. Shortly after Shelby posted this heartfelt message to Reba, Marissa also had to share how special her mother-in-law is with the world.

"Oh, hey!!! I took those 😏," Marissa replied in the comments before making a joke. "Happy Mother's Day, @reba — even though you never let us win at Skyjo. Or Rummikub … or Phase 10 … "

When fans of the Happy's Place star saw how Shelby praised his mom online, it naturally pulled on more than a few heartstrings.

"Awww 🥹 you are the Queen of country's greatest accomplishment ❣️ I love this mother and son pair!! Happy Mother's Day, Reba! 🌻," one person wrote. "Love the pics! Mom’s are special for sure! ❤️," another agreed. "Lovely thing for you to say Shelby, Happy Mother's Day Reba!" a different follower added.

Reba and Shelby recently made a rare public appearance just days before for an occasion celebrating Reba's incredible country music career. Bringing Marissa and Rex along for the occasion, the foursome posed for the cameras while Reba was honored as part of Variety's inaugural "Power of Women: Nashville" issue.
