Luke Grimes has major news to share about his future in the Yellowstone universe ... and fans already have questions about it.
It's been five months since the last episode of Yellowstone aired, and longtime fans are ready to see a new era of the Dutton family come to TV. After all — the popular fictional universe has spanned multiple spinoffs already, including 1883, 1923 and the upcoming Dutton Ranch starring Kelly Reilly and Cole Hauser. Well, it looks like we're going to see even more of the ranching family, as Deadline announced on May 7 that CBS is developing a new series called Y: Marshals. Not only is the show expected to be part of the network's midseason lineup in the spring of 2026, the outlet also revealed Luke will reprise his role as Kayce Dutton.
Shortly after the news broke about Y: Marshals, Luke took to Instagram to voice his excitement about the new project. "Cowboys don't say goodbye, they say see you later," he wrote in the caption.
When fans learned about Luke's return to the Yellowstone universe, it didn't take long before they voiced a major question about Y: Marshals. Mainly, they wanted to know if other members of the Dutton family would return to the show as well.
"Hope some of the other cast members too awesome news," one person wrote. "Bring your best TV sister with you please!!" another begged. "Pumped hopefully Monica and Tate stay part of the show," a different follower added.
While we don't know much about who else will return to Y: Marshals, CBS did give some clues as to how Kayce's world will change with the spinoff. As The Hollywood Reporter noted, the show will see Kayce become part of an "elite unite of U.S. Marshals, combining his skills as a cowboy and Navy SEAL to bring range justice to Montana."
It looks like we'll just have to wait and see who (if anyone) else from the Yellowstone universe makes an appearance.
