As Reba McEntire prepares to host the 60th annual Academy of Country Music (ACM) Awards, it looks like she's doing a lot more than just being the emcee.
One of country music's biggest nights is set to occur on May 8, 2025, and folks are ready to see some of their favorite artists take home coveted awards for their contribution to the genre. While Reba has been teasing what's potentially coming when she gets onstage as the host of the ACM Awards, she decided she'd drop some music news of her own ahead of the big occasion.
Sharing the big news on Instagram on May 7, Reba revealed she was teaming up with Miranda Lambert and Lainey Wilson to collaborate on a single called "Trailblazer." But that's not all. As the trio will all be in attendance at the ACM Awards, Reba shared they will all take the stage to perform their new song together for the first time ever.
"When we think of a 'Trailblazer,' we think of @Reba, @mirandalambert, and @laineywilson!" the caption read. "You don’t want to miss the WORLD PREMIERE PERFORMANCE of their new song on the 60th #ACMawards LIVE Thursday, May 8 at 8e|5p on @PrimeVideo."
Even though fans were excited to see this incredible moment for Reba, they were also in suspense about what "Trailblazer" may sound like from her teaming up with both Miranda and Lainey.
"A hint of 'Fancy,' a splash of 'Kerosene,' and a few 'Wildflowers and Wild Horses' 🤝 I am so here for this trio 🔥," one person wrote in the comments. "The trio I didn’t know I needed 🙌," another exclaimed. "What?! This made me get goosebumps just reading it … ," a different follower added.
Even though we'll have to wait for the ACM Awards to hear "Trailblazer" for the first time, it's clear Reba is excited by this new prospect. As she added in another Instagram post later on May 7, she's itching to see everyone react to her big moment.
"We’re saving a seat at the table for you! #Trailblazer," she wrote. "Make sure you’re watching LIVE TOMORROW at 8pm ET | 5pm PT on @PrimeVideo!"
We're so ready for this!
The 60th Academy of Country Music Awards will stream on Amazon Prime Video.
