Jenna Bush Hager has had a plethora of guests join her as co-hosts on the Today show since Hoda Kotb left in early January. Fans have strong feelings about which celebrities they think would make great full-time co-hosts — and it looks like we can add one more person to the list.

Comedian and podcast host Matt Rogers is sitting alongside Jenna for her fourth hour show Today With Jenna & Friends for the week of May 5, and the two's dynamic feels like they've been friends for many years. What's more, the Today show social team couldn't get enough of the duo together. Posting a behind-the-scenes Instagram video after Matt's first day in the temporary job, it was clear everyone was excited to have him return throughout the rest of the week.

"We love you!" the caption read alongside the snippet. "So excited you'll be here all week long 🫶."

Given how people are so excited by Jenna and Matt's dynamic, they rushed to the comments to voice their hopes for something major. Mainly, they really want to see Matt take on a more permanent role on Today With Jenna & Friends.

"Legend! Keep him permanently," one person begged in the comments. "He’s really fun and cute! Enjoyed watching y’all this morning," another exclaimed. "Such great energy between you two! Looking forward to watching the rest of the week! ❤️," a different follower added.

We absolutely can see why fans love Matt and Jenna working together on the Today show! But let's not forget, viewers have also hoped that other famous faces would become the next co-host. Audiences thought Dwayne Wade would be a perfect fit back in March. And he wasn't the only one folks liked for the gig — they also pitched Today contributor Willie Geist to become Jenna's full-time sidekick on TV.

No matter who ultimately gets chosen, we definitely can't wait to see more of Matt on our TV screens this week!
