Friday Night Lights fans, you'll be intrigued by this piece of news. Connie Britton is officially entering the world of Hallmark ... and it's for a show that comes straight from her heart.
In late March, Deadline announced the hit TV network would premiere an unscripted series called The Motherhood on May 5, 2025 at 8 p.m. ET. According to the outlet, each episode of the show will follow Connie (who is a single mom to adopted son Yoby) as she "connects with another single mother who is juggling the demands of work, parenting, and self-care." With three coaches — home expert Angela Rose, parenting coach Destini Davis, and stylist Taryn Hicks — Connie will give the mom a well-deserved refresh while also learning things along the way.
With The Motherhood set to premiere so soon, Hallmark decided to share a first look at what's to come with Connie's new project. Posting a video featuring Connie on Instagram on May 4, the Instagram got fans excited to see the actress on TV once again.
"Welcome to The Motherhood with @conniebritton!" the caption read. "Tune in to the all new reality series #TheMotherhood premiering Monday at 8/7c. Stream next day on @HallmarkPlus."
After seeing the surprise clip from Connie promoting The Motherhood, viewers couldn't hold back their excitement about the series premiere.
"I can’t believe this comes out tomorrow. I remember reading about Connie Britton getting her own reality show and I was so excited and happy for her. Now it’s almost time for us to see it ahhh 🥳," one person exclaimed. "Where do we nominate a mother for this???" another inquired. "Wow! It's amazing! 💋✨," a different follower added.
Well, we're certainly intrigued and can't wait to watch it ourselves! And as Connie told First for Women on April 25, The Motherhood takes inspiration from when she first adopted Yoby in November 2011, ahead of her former TV show Nashville.
"The idea for The Motherhood series came from my experience at that time. I moved to Nashville making decisions the way I always had, not realizing that motherhood changes everything ... The series really reflects what I’ve learned over my 13 years as a mom—and what I’m still learning, especially through doing the show."
Congrats, Connie and we'll be sure to tune in!
