Martha Stewart has given fans a rare look inside her "tiny apartment," and it's just as fabulous as expected.

On May 1, the businesswoman shared an Instagram post that showed off some of the glamorous detailing in one of her smaller homes.

"When I designed my tiny apartment years ago I asked that it be made to look like the mother-in-law's apartment in the back of the palazzo," she wrote in the caption of the post. "It turned out very well and when I dress for an evening out I always like to snap a photo."

The terracotta, marble-looking floor tiles add depth and texture to the space, which has a high ceiling lined by classic crown molding. A detailed stone fireplace is a showstopper that brings a regal touch, too.

Stewart also styled the room with what appears to be a vintage Girandole mirror, making a bold statement against the otherwise plain white walls. While it's likely that Stewart's piece is one of a kind, a similar Girandole style is currently on display at The Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York City. According to the museum, these types of mirrors were popular during the Federal period and were often surmounted by eagle finials. "Their name derives from the candle arms that extend from the frame, allowing the candlelight to reflect off the convex mirror and illuminate an entire room," a description on the website reads.

The apartment (and mirror, obviously) clearly wowed Stewart's Instagram followers, who had high praise for the design choices. "That mirror is what antique dreams are made of!" one wrote.

"Beautifully executed!!! LOVE!!" said a second. A third commented, "Wow that mantel is spectacular! Second only to you!"

In addition to the design, fans were also delighted by Stewart's outfit—the gold pants in particular. "Who is the designer of the GOLD SLACKS??? The fabric and cut look wonderful," one commenter asked.

Versions of this gold Girandole mirror currently sell for upwards of $20,000 on sites like Chairish and 1stDibs, but you can find slightly more affordable replicas on eBay or Etsy to get the Martha Stewart-approved look.
