It's been almost a year since Pat Sajak left Wheel of Fortune as the show's longtime host ... but does he still keep in touch with those he worked alongside for many years?
As it turns out, Pat's former co-star Vanna White spoke about this very subject in an April 24 interview with TV Insider. Given how Pat is making his final appearance as host in an all-new season of Celebrity Wheel of Fortune (premiering Wednesday, April 30, 2025 at 8 p.m. ET on ABC), she was asked if the two still keep in touch after his big TV exit. Vanna (who's still on the show and working alongside current host Ryan Seacrest) revealed the two are still close friends — and they see each other more than viewers would expect.
"I still see him!" she shared with the outlet. "We’re friends. We have dinner! Yeah, he’s still in my life."
Well, this truly warms our hearts, especially since Vanna and Pat worked together for over four decades! What's more, she added that the two's dynamic is like no time has passed whenever they have the chance to reunite.
"It’s like slipping into something very comfortable," Vanna noted. "I mean that in the best possible way. It’s just comfortable."
As fans may know, Pat began his Wheel of Fortune career as host in 1981, while Vanna joined the show in December 1982. Even though she and Ryan have a good rapport on the show since Pat's exit, she definitely had emotional words for her former co-star when he left in June 2024.
"I can't believe that tomorrow is our last show together," she stated in an Instagram clip posted at the time. "I don't know how to put into words what these past 41 years have meant to me, but I'm going to try ... As the years have gone by, we've grown up on television. But we've also shared so much more behind the scenes, and as much fun as we had on camera, those memories, milestones and life events we shared with our families outside the studio are my favorite."
We so love this for them!
