HGTV star Jasmine Roth is no stranger to Rock the Block. She competed on the first season of the show and was crowned champion. When she was invited to return as a judge, it was an easy "yes" for the designer, even though she was in the middle of several major life changes.

The host of Help! I Wrecked My House moved her family and business from California to Utah. In the midst of their move, they welcomed new baby Darla in very dramatic fashion. But, with Rock the Block filming not far from her new home, Jasmine happily joined the show just five weeks after giving birth.

During the second episode, the teams took on their mudrooms, powder baths, and dens. Jasmine and Mina Starsiak Hawk stepped in to judge the spaces. Jasmine shared a video from the day of filming on her Instagram account and wrote about the experience.

She wrote, "You guys - I just double checked - but this was me 5 weeks after I had Darla!
When I heard that @hgtv’s Rock the Block was right in my new backyard (Season 6 is in Salt Lake City, UT) and that I could work with @mina_starsiak_hawk again, I couldn’t stay away."

Jasmine continued, "Plus all of you new parents can probably relate that sometimes it’s that first little outing back to work that helps you feel human again, but also makes you really appreciate how necessary maternity leave is. I was pumping milk, feeling weepy, figuring what clothes would fit, eating everything, and wondering if I was going to sneeze and pee my pants…all while trying to do my job. I remember looking at pics of Darla on my phone and wondering if she was missing me. 🥹"

In the end, Jasmine was happy with her decision. She said, "Fast forward and tonight baby Darla gets to watch her mom on tv for the first time. Yay! Not sure she’ll totally understand what’s happening, but I like to think she’ll be proud. I know Hazel will be!"
